As a business owner and community activist, I am honored to write this business letter of recommendation for Sherrie Dunning. We have known each other for more than 24 years, which feels like forever! I have worked with Sherrie on several events in the community while also receiving counseling on the right steps in starting and growing my business. She has the ability to engage, inspire,  and motivate others for success. She has encouraged me and improved my business planning skills tremendously. Observing Sherrie's interacting with families and youth development in our community is incredible.  She's a great leader with a big heart.

I' ve known Ms Dunning almost all my life. Growing up in high school I was bullied. I was insecure about my weight! I never thought I was pretty enough! I was over weight. No-one would love me because I was Big . I didn't like the way I talked. I am a country big girl! I was criticized about my hair.  It's not long ! It's not thick, beautiful or the right texture. Oh Snap! I can't have a straight ponytail.

I cried everyday.I was sad. I was stressed and ashamed. I didn't love myself.

Ms Dunning was there to inspire me. She told me that I was beautiful. She elevated  and promoted self love to me.  She instilled joy in my heart energizing my spirit with positive thoughts and actions. Ms Dunning helped me realize that I am a big beautiful young lady. I don’t know where I would be today without Ms Dunning. She’s an incredible role model that everyone will be blessed to have in their life. We must learn to love ourselves first before attempting to love others in life.

COVID 19

I'm M. Adisa a nurse at Clara Mass Hospital. I have worked for 23 year with a smile and a caring heart. My specialty is Neurology. I work with seizure, stroke, mental health, and Alzheimer’s  patients. I’m not a Covid 19 Nurse.  Although, I have had opportunities to treat some Covid 19 patients.
Unfortunately, this is stressful time for everyone. However, the numbers of Covid 19 cases are staggering in the black and brown communities. We as African Americans are affected the most because of our lack of vitamin D and vitamin C deficiency’s. The melanin in our skin doesn't produce a significant amount of vitamin D. We must improve the immune system by taking our vitamins.
Therefore, having a proper diet, exercising daily and good sleeping habits will stimulate a healthier state of being.  I suggest that we stay safe, be blessed and remain New Jersey strong.
